Homemade bounty bars

If you are a big fan of bounty bars , aka, creamy coconut filling covered by chocolate, but need it to be dairy free this is for you!

Yes, completely dairy free but still full of flavour and loads of real nutrients, this bar was a homemade creation out of curiosity and ir worked out pretty good!

So down to recipe!!

Dairy free Bounty by Fabi Porto

Servings 10

Time for prep: 15min


Coconut filling

1 1/2 cup of dessicated coconut

1 1/2 tbs of honey

5 tbs of full fat coconut cream

1 tsp of vanilla extract

1 pinch of hymalayan salt

2 tbs of coconut oil

Mix all ingredients in a bowl.

Once sticky, grab size of preference to be shaped into mini bars 'nuggets' style and place them in the freezer for at least 15 minutes while you prepare the chocolate cover.

Chocolate cover

5 tbs coconut oil

2 1/2 tbs coconut butter

2 tbs honey

4 tbs cacao powder

1 pinch of hymalayan salt

Place all ingredients in a pan on very low heat until it melts and becomes a creamy sauce. It shouldn't take more than 2-3minutes.

Take the coconut bars from the freezer and arrange a new tray covered with baking paper - this will be used to lay the bars once they are covered in chocolate .

Carefully, using a fork or a mini tong, dip each bar individually into the chocolate sauce, assuring all sides are covered and place it on the new tray.

Once its all done, place the tray in the freezer for 45-60min and get ready to reach the stars with this coco lushious home bar! Enjoy! xx Fabi
